I’ve Been Sick
for about 6 weeks straight now. Every week there’s some new dimension to it. Get the flu, next week it’s gone but I have a dry, hacking cough. Cough’s gone, now I have a congested nose on both sides. One nostril is clear, now I’m partially deaf. WTF.
I bought some OTC antibiotics about three weeks ago when I was in Thailand. Really just because the “pharmacist” was the only one who generously let me use her bathroom (while I was running around Phuket with a mild case of the runs). Didn’t take them ‘cause they looked mad sketch.
But I’m too lazy to go to the campus clinic. And even more importantly too cheap to waste ‘X’ amount of money that could go towards some shopping. Besides, it’s probably only a sinus infection. Right? My mother’s convinced it’s Avian flu or SARS. As we speak, she is making an appointment for me to have bloodwork done when I get back home. Good thing I didn’t tell her Asia also has a nasty little dengue plague floating around.
So I hope Norfloxacin isn’t banned in the US because I start taking them today.
